Overview
This 8-day expedition will take you to a part of the Serengeti known as the Western Corridor. The main feature of this area is the two rivers: the Grumeti and the Mbalageti. This area sustains a very good permanent wildlife population, including all the predators, zebras, and wildebeest. There is also a wide variety of birdlife. The migration passes roughly between May and July, pausing to gather momentum before crossing the crocodile-rich waters of the Grumeti River.

You'll set out for Tarangire National Park across gently rolling Masai plains with scattered acacia trees. As you zip along, you'll pass many Masai in their colourful dress walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle and driving donkey carts. Tarangire National Park, well known for its large elephant herds, is also host to a multitude of other creatures. From the open roof of our safari jeep, you'll experience the seasonal swamps, savannah and life-giving Tarangire River endeavouring to encounter a multitude of creatures from zebras to wildebeest, buffalos, elephants, and giraffes, to name but a few. You may glimpse lions stalking prey or leopards relaxing in the trees above.
After your extensive game drive, you'll drive to one of our mid-range partner lodges for dinner in a tasteful restaurant and a most capacious room to harbour your ease and dreams of wild cats!

The Serengeti National Park is the largest in Tanzania covering an astounding 15,000 km squared with diverse landscapes and habitats such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. Here the great migration of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes takes place. Depending on the season, you may have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals on their search for food and water.
After an extensive game drive, you'll drive to the Seronera Valley for an evening meal and overnight stay at your accommodation.

Around the end of April, May, and June, a vast army of wildebeests along with its partners: zebras, elands, and gazelles mill around the Western Corridor of the Serengeti, south of the Grumeti River. You can encounter leopards and hyenas and ahead of giant Nile crocodiles, many hundreds perish as some hazard the river crossing while others detour it. But the beauty of the landscape, stretching without end beneath an infinite sky on a Serengeti West Safari, changes something within the watcher, who becomes more aware of the place of humankind within the drama of the animal world.
You will then head straight to your accommodation, where you will have dinner and an overnight stay.

This entire day is set aside for game drives upon the Serengeti. The Serengeti, the habitat of an abundance of wildlife such as impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, and hippos, is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebras, antelopes, and wildebeest. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year. In November and December, the animals move from the northern region, dominated by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June, they return to the north. Apart from the migrating herds, you may have the opportunity to see the resident predators, leopards, cheetahs, and lions, fulfilling their role in the circle of life.
After an extensive game drive, you'll head for your tented lodge for a hearty dinner and another night by the fire of relaxation and conversation under the sweeping majesty of the star-bright African night out upon the ‘endless plain’.

After breakfast, you will head out for an en-route game drive through the Serengeti. You might be able to spot the Big Five— lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard —before embarking on your journey to Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site formed millions of years ago, is 600 m deep and covers roughly around 260 square kilometers. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25,000, the Crater offers the best wildlife viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. You will arrive at the Crater rim before lunch. You will descend into the crater and very quickly, you will be able to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. With a little bit of luck, you might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhinos through the grass.
After lunch and a full afternoon inside the Crater, you will head to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you'll drive to your final destination on this epic safari —Lake Manyara National Park. This relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of Arusha, is so named for the shallow salt lake which covers a good seventy percent of the park's surface area. Flooding and drying with the seasons the soda lake is home to thousands of flamingos as well as over 500 other bird species. On your exploration of the park, you will see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalos, elephants, and with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes; not only open grassy plains but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab-dotted cliffs. After another memorable game drive, with our adventure coming to an end, you will return to Arusha in the late afternoon, replete with images of the African wilds to last a lifetime.

EXCELLENT Based on 48 reviews Posted on tamar kVerified Outstanding Safari Guide and a Truly Memorable Experience with Godson We had the absolute pleasure of having Godson as our safari guide, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better! Not only is he a highly professional guide who made sure we saw all the amazing wildlife up close, but he’s also an incredible person. He took care of everything for us and went above and beyond, even when our flight got canceled. He came back to pick us up from the airport, spent the whole day with us, and drove us back again—without expecting anything in return. Godson is kind, funny, and an absolute gem to be around. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone planning a trip to Tanzania. You couldn’t be in better hands!Posted on Nassim GVerified Professional, kind and wonderful guide and person Godson is a wonderful person and guide. We have loved to make our Safari with him. Our safari experience was simply amazing and unforgettable. Godson was the best guide we could have ever possibly hoped for. He made sure that we enjoyed every minute of it and we did! He took care of every detail, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was organised. His knowledge of animals and parks, his patience and his politeness were second to none….and he was such good company too! We learnt so much from him about animals. When we arrived we said hi to a guide, but when we left we said goodbye to a trusted friend. So if you’re reading this review because you don’t know which safari company to choose don’t look anywhere else. Go with Godson and you won’t regret it..Posted on Nicolò MVerified The real Tanzania supervisor!!! Not a guide but a piece of the family. Godson is the best tour leader there is in Arusha. His great experience allows him to know every place to find the rarest animals in the different parks you will visit. It takes care of you for every logistical, health and cultural need. Always punctual and willing to drive endless hours to satisfy your thirst for knowledge and discovery. There can be no Safari without Godson in Tanzania: the two things are closely linked. Godson was an amazing guide, knowing just where and when to take us to specific locations. He was also extremely patient and beyond knowledgeable; answering our constant barrage of questions. I highly recommend him and Martial Adventure Safaris for an unforgettable and spectacular safari experience.Posted on Pietro ArzentonVerified An unforgettable experience When we decided to do our Safari in Tanzania for the first time in our life, our travel agent told us that he wouldn’t had sold us the trip if there wasn’t Godson free from other tours. Luckly he was free and then we understood why our travel agent said that to us: even if he saw all the beauties of the savanna many many times I could see his eyes gleaming like ours when we encountered lions and other animals. He is really passionate about nature and he guided us to the best spots in the park that let me took these amazing pics. Godson is absolutely the best guide for the safari in Tanzania!Posted on Naomi SmithVerified 5* Tanzanian Safari Experience! Could not recommend doing the Wildlife Safari Tour enough! As a female solo traveller, I was understandably nervous going abroad alone for the first time but Godson put me right at ease and we had the most incredible time. Having done safaris in other parts of Africa before, I knew what to expect but this was like nothing else I could ever have imagined.
