Itinerary

Depart from Arusha for a drive to Materuni village is a beautifully lush area to visit on the outskirts of Moshi Here you can really get to grips with the life of the local Chagga people wandering through the village and passing their homesteads Located in the picturesque foothills of Kilimanjaro Materuni has managed to retain its authentic edge over some of the other tourist attractions as it is not one of the routes for climbing Kilimanjaro.

Here your guide will explain all aspects of the Chagga homestead including the other crops that they grow aside from coffee You will get to see how the coffee is produced from picking the bean to roasting and then drinking a delicious cup yourself. Following your coffee tour, you will then take a short hike make sure to wear some good shoes as it can be muddy up there passing through local villages to reach the waterfalls. At sunset, you will return for dinner and overnight in Arusha.

In the morning you will be picked up from your Accommodation  in Arusha by our personal safari guide. Tarangire National Park is well known for its big groups of elephants and the huge amount of giant baobab trees. These trees can live for hundreds of years and are actually a source of water for elephants in the dry season as they have a special technique to draw water from them. Besides, the Tarangire River is the only source of water in the dry season, which is why in this season in Tarangire you can see groups of up to 250 elephants next to many more animals!

Early breakfast at 6.00 am, then depart Arusha and drive via Ngorongoro Conservation Area for Game drive en route to Serengeti Park.

Serengeti National Park is widely known as the place to go on safari, mainly because of the Great Migration that passes through here. The enormous, stampeding herds are impressive, as are the vast amount of predators that live here: over four thousand lions, 225 cheetahs, a thousand leopards, 3500 hyenas and hundreds of wild dogs! And of course, plenty of other beautiful animals, which your guide will be delighted to search for together with you. Are you ready for this?

You will wake 5.45 for early breakfast and see the Sun rise inside Serengeti, after you finish your breakfast you will do early morning game drive up to 11.30am then you head back to campsite for the hot lunch and pack your stuff in the jeep. This time after finishing your hot lunch you will proceed with game drive in Serengeti while heading to Ngorongoro crater for dinner and overnight.

Rise and shine! It is an early departure to the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once you have reached the crater rim, you will drive down a steep track into the 600 m deep caldera to see a range of animals and birds. The caldera (collapsed volcano) is home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the "Big Five" (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard) and more than 500 species of birds.
After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch in the crater, you will return to Arusha, where you will arrive in the early evening, This will be the End of your 5 Days Camping Safari Tanzania
